Door locks/keyless entry not working, VATS, BCM ?
OK, here goes:
I recently got the car running again ('95 Z28). It has the keyless entry. For a while after getting back together, the door lock switches inside the car would correctly operate either side. The keyless entry has not worked at all since getting the car back together. In the past, every time I had to disconnect the battery for something, to get the keyless entry working again all I had to do was connect the battery while holding down the remote button. This will not work now. Also, the interior lock switches first worked, then stopped for a while, the worked again, and now seem to be permanently dead. I have searched the site but am unsure how to procede.
Could the problem be door switch/ or switches? To verify, the passenger side is the master, correct? Or, if either is bad will that cause both to not work?
Just to be sure, the '95 does not have a BCM, correct?
Could the VATS or keyless entry module (if that is what I have instead of the BCM) be at fault?
Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Bueller......Bueller....
20 views, and zero ideas, huh?
How about just a definitive answer on if the Pass side switch is the master, and if my '95 has a BCM or not. I have searched, and I've seen contradictory info for both of those subjects
Or, what about if a defective keyless entry module can prevent the lock switches inside from working as well......

This might help - short version: NO, the 95 doesn't have a BCM. That started in '96 models.

Thank you, that answers the BCM question, as well as location of the Keyless entry module.
Does anybody know if a defective KEM will prevent the functioning of the door lock switches? I don't like replacing parts for no reason.
