I want to get my doors to lock/unlock with the ignition if possible.Though that a relay may work.Has anyone tried this?

 

mine do it with my alarm system. i believe most viper keyless entry systems will allow you to have that feature.. sure you can do it with a few relays but id say just go the keyless entry route its way nicer.. no more scratching your paint on the door when its dark and your drunk haha.

 

The car has factory keyless entry/alarm already installed.

Power Lock red/black - BCM in pass kick
Power Unlock tan & gray/black 5wi BCM in pass kick
Notes: The tan will unlock the drivers door and the gray/black will unlock the passenger door. Wire each as a 5-wire system with separate relays. See direct fax document #1052.

theres the wires. i could wire it up with relays and it woudl be kinda confusing but doable.. BUT the part i wouldnt understand is how to get a single pulse to unlock the door or lock it. the way i would think to do it.. you would have a constant pulse for as long as the ignition was on and that would really mess up the motors and wiring. anyone know how to give a short simple pulse when the ignition is turned on?

 

Yea i just had a clifford alarm installed on my 94 z with remote start and keyless entry. Everything seems to work except the unlock feature, it locks, starts the car, opens the trunk, but i took it back to the guy a few times and he still cant get the unlock feature to work, any suggestions?
