I just picked up a project Z28. The car's had a rough life, and I'm slowly trying to bring the car back up again. It's got all of the power options, locks, mirrors, windows. Would this car have come with a keyless entry/key fob when it was new? Is this something the local Chevrolet dealership could order and program for me?

I'll need to check my window sticker for my 95 Formula, but I'm pretty sure if the car came with power windows and locks, keyless entry was part of the deal. Looking at

if your car has the following option, you have keyless entry (check your RPO codes, either in the glovebox, or the door jamb):

Preferred Equipment Group 1SB
Cruise control, remote hatch release, power mirrors and windows, power door locks, remote keyless entry, theft-deterrent system w/alarm, fog lights.

 

Wow, I forgot I even posted this. I've already ordered and programmed a key fob for the car, so it does have keyless entry!
