Also, don't buy a cheap amp. Dirty power will blow a sub quicker than too much power.
No. Bottom line is how well you can build a box.....

Please explain how a cheap amp outputs "dirty" power.....

poorly built amps can introduce noise/distortion/clipping into the signal...........bad/distorted signal blows speakers way before excess "clean" power.

I really didn't need an explanation. I was just trying to prove a point..... oh, and how does a poorly built amp introduce clipping?

I made a statement regarding the underpowered amp and clipping and such but I wasn't sure if the way I said it sounded right or made it a true statement, so I just edited it out

I agree 100%

The only amp I like better than a fosgate would be a Memphis, but that is getting into high end stuff.

So if the only thing you like better than RF is memphis then it seems like you think they are the best two companies out there..... you wouldn't rather have any of the following?
Arc
Zapco
Tru
Helix
Brax
Avionixx
US Amps
Mc Intosh
Orion
Butler
Phoenix Gold
Mmats
Linear Power

I guess if that is your preference....

I'd take any of those over a rockford anyday. Aswell as Cadence, PPI, Soundstream, Hifonics, etc. Better Quality products and it's different, everyone and their dog has rockford amps. I'm not saying they're not any good they're just mainstream and there is much better out there and more of a "wow" factor from being different. Just my 2 cents.
