Hide away sub

Does anyone know about a hide away subwoofer for a camaro. I think it will take a 10" as far as I have heard. I would like to have my trunk space back. Any help on where I can get one and how much would be appreciated! Thanks.

MTX makes one. It is 10 inch i believe. Try ebay, or circuit city can order it. I have the one with the built in amp, sounds pretty good!

JL audio makes one in their stealthbox lineup. Tweeter carries them. They told me that the empty box sold individually is not as rigid as the one sold packaged with the 10W3. It is plenty of bass, mine is never maxed out, although i certainly don't enter any decibal drags or anything like that.

I have the JL audio 10" model. It works great. Just remove the carpet from the little storage area in the back, slide in the sub, hook it up, and you're ready to go. It has just enough bass to keep me happy. Directions say to bolt it in, but mine has stayed in place for over 6 years without having to bolt it in. It doesn't rattle, and sounds good.

It's a VERY nice custom look. It doesn't reduce any functionality of the car either.

Does it replace the factory sub location?

You should try posting this in the Mobile Audio & Video forum, or do a search there. You'll find a lot of info. Usually, they're referred to as stealth boxes.

Dont get the MTX box, they sound like crap. JL puts out a very nice product, but pricey. I ended up buying a fiberglass box for mine, and loaded it with my own sub and amp. Its loud and clear. Couldnt be happier.

I have the JL audio vantage box with a 10w3 sub and it's really nice. I don't listen to rap or anything like that, but sound advice is the only place that carries that sub in northern florida. good luck finding it, it's a great buy!

I also have the JL audio stealthbox with a 10W3.
It hits more than hard enough for me.
I did a complete stealth install on my car and the JL box worked out great.

a box by its self can not sound bad..... improperly matching a sub to a box size that it wasn't designed to go in may.....
