Hello Folks. Thanks for stopping by and helping me with this issue.

History: Alternator is Stock (51k on it). Battery is a Optima Yellow Top (Few Years Old)

After a few days, battery is dead!

I Disconnected the negative terminal, and put a test light between the terminal, and negative battery cable. No light, indicating no drain.

Checked the battery with a digital multimeter. Read 12.40 volts. Connected the battery and started the car. Rechecked the battery voltage with car running. Read 13.88 volts, indicating the alternator is charging the battery.

What should I check next folks. Thank You!

Might have the battery, load tested, to insure a cell is not going bad... Are all connection tight????? Corrosion anywhere??????

Do you have an Amp????? If so is it directly connected to battery????

Accidently left the map light on?????? That was my problem......

Battery has been tested, and is fine. No corrosion. Amp is not drawing power. Map light or dome light, or reading lights are not on.

sounds like its time to start pulling fuses. when the battery stops dying you have found your problem. it might take a couple of nights to figure out which fuse is associated with the problem but it works.

Got to be a drain somewhere, just because the test light doesn't light only means that the light was either in backwards (if it's a polarity dependent test light, some are), or the drain is so low that the light won't be bright enough for you to see.

I'd get it such that you can make sure the test light works; thus leave a door open so the test light should illuminate when the interior lights are on; then start yanking fuses until the light turns off.

May want to use a multi-meter with amperage capabilities instead of a test light as well.
