As far as difficulty, how good are you? You would probably need to be proficient with 'glass, mounting hardware and welding.
You be looking at major fabrication to make a rack to mount the HU and Monitor to as well as securing it to the frame or better yet the dash in some way. I'd more than likely do an aluminum frame due to the lack of space, but MDF might be an option. For the panel you'd be looking at a fully custom fabricated piece with fabricated mounting gear + sanding, finishing and painting.
All told, I'd say atleast a week or more worth of labor(40 hour +) to get a really clean result. If you're looking for someone to build one that you can install yourself expect it to run atleast $200-400 more as that's a bit more tricky.
I actually wouldn't mind doing it myself, but I don't really see the need for a monitor unless in hooked up to a computer that runs a hardware based RTA like ClioWin Lite Electroacoustic Measurement System and or LS1 Edit. Being a purist I would never run my entire system through a software based processor, but I've seen it done and done well.
I'd be glad to fab one up for anyone interested
