Crossover Mounting Location

I put a set of component speakers up front, with the tweeter mounted on top of the doors, and the woofer in the stock location. Where are people mounting there crossovers? I mounted mine inside of the doors, but I think there is a small interference with the windows, or the mechanics, contacting the mounting screws.

Also, how hard is it to run wires through the the stock wiring boot between the door and the body? I though about mounting the crossover in the cabin, but I'm not sure if I can get the wires routed through there. Any suggestions?

My passenger side is behind the kickpanel and the driver side is either behind the kick panel or behind the knee bolster, I can't even remember.

It wasn't very hard to run the new wires into the door.
