Crossfire DBW10?

I THINK thats the sub I have, but am unsure as I was given it a few years ago. I have yet to actually use the sub in my car, but I just bought a SubThump stealth enclosure and plan on trying it out. Im not expecting anything huge out of this mainly because im going to be using the rear two channels of my 4ch amp to power it and if I remember correctly I believe that that gives me 150watts going to that bridged channel.

1st question-did I correctly identify the sub?

2nd question-is this a good sub?

3rd question-assuming i eventually buy a dedicated sub amp, will this sub work well in this enclosure? Would adding something like an aperiodic vent help or would an entirely different sub be the best thing?

Thanks guys!

You are correct, it is a crossfire Db series 10 inch subwoofer. I've had crossfire in my car for several years now and I can't complain one bit. That series that you have is the "middle of the road" as far as crossfire goes. It's one step above the CF series and a step below the BMF series. It's actually a discontinued model that you have there. I'd say that sub would be fine in the stealth enclosure. I forget really, but I think the db's were more adept to working better in smaller enclosures.

Crossfire is an underrated brand when it comes to amplification... My friend had 2 MTX 18's in his suburban and he wouldn't touch anything but crossfire. As for me I have the crossfire VR602 for my 2 12 inch subs...http://www.crossfirecaraudio.com/pro...p?IDProduct=91 .

As far as woofers, crossfire is an okay brand. If i had a choice for the woofer, I would choose the Eclipse 12' Aluminum Sub...
