ok i live in az so when i put the detector in the orginal spot ( mounting with sucktion cups on windshield) it gets very very hot and kinda warps the cups off. I was wondering if i could splice the power wires to the power wires on the rear view mirror and then mount it on the the ceiling of the car jsut infront of the mirror.
any info would be greatly appriciated

 

I wired mine to a switch on the console and put in the top corner of the windshied, right in my peripheral vision, but hidden from the outside by the tint strip at the top of the windshield. I liked it a lot there, if you do get pulled over, just click it off and the cop cant even see it.
