convert stereo to bose CD
I traded my 95 V-6 Hard Top for a 94 Z-28 Conv.
The new one has the Cassette stereo, non Bose unit.
I would like to keep the car all original. I was wondering how much work it would be to install the bose cd system from a salvage car. Would it need a change in wire harness? How many amplifiers are there in the bose system? I would prefer this system over aftermarket if there isn't too much work involved.
Thanks; jmack9288

It would be more trouble than its worth. All new speakers new rear panel for sub enclosure, new wiring harness just to put a crappy system in. There are plenty of good CD players that would match your dash and the kit don't look bad for our cars at all if you get the right one. You could get a truefit CD player from Pioneer or Alpine that would look good. Bose sucks. You could probably find a non bose CD player from another GM car. When it comes to bose just say no.
