circuit board help. Pioneer touch screen.
My touch screen has been acting kinda wacky lately. Input to the system (play, pause, etc.) is working fine...but the image was all distorted. I figured that it was the plastic strips (w/ copper) which feed and receive info from the screen. Bingo...one of the contacts on the black strip (video feed) was f'ed. So i tried to straighten it out...but no good.
This isn't really specific to the system itself...so any computer electronics gurus might have some input...basically these strips are like the IDE cables used in computers...except they don't have a plug on the end...they just fit into a bracket and make contact with the circuit board.
I'm wondering if there's a way to lay down some sotter (sp?) or some aluminum foil or something of that nature to make proper contact.
I know this isn't very clear...but it's kinda hard to describe.
AIM is djiali if you want some clarification.
Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about like a flat ribbon that has the copper traces exposed on the end where it slides into the slot on the boad, I don't know of any way to repair the copper trace. I think you're going to have to get a replacement copper trace.
