Re: cd changer help

I have a similar problem. I bought a used CD changer and need to mount it.

As I understand it, there is a bracket that is welded to the trunk "shelf". There are two smaller brackets that are attached to the CD changer. One(?) nut holds the the changer down. See this exploded view...

My changer came with the two smaller brackets. I have ordered what I hope is the larger mounting bracket #23; part number 10276577. Haven't got it yet. When I do, I'll probably screw it down. Good Luck!

Re: cd changer help

Oops. Got the bracket in. It's the right one, except you need TWO mounting brackets. The bracket is not painted.
P/N 10276577 BRACKET for $2.15 each plus shipping. 12 days from order date from GMpartsdirect.com.

Re: cd changer help

I bought the bracket mentioned above, and mounted it with JB Cold Weld. Been a couple of years, and it is still rock solid. Looks exactly like the changer was installed at the factory. The changer itself attaches to the bracket with a single nut&bolt.
