Angry car was broken into this morning

I woke this morning to my sister screaming that my car had been broken into. I ran outside to find my passenger side window smashed and the car keyed. They went through the center console and glove box but all they took were my friend's sunglasses that he had left in the center console. No stereo equipment was missing or damaged and they attempted to get into the trunk but couldn't(I park with my rear bumper 1" away from the wall).

They ripped the whole window frame out of the garage to get in. Must have happened between 4:30am and 9:00am. I didn't get to bed until 4:30am and my window is right near the garage so I must have been pretty passed out to not hear them or the alarm. The car is at the glass shop getting the new window put in now and I have an appointment with the insurance company on wednesday.

Stupid theives.

Dude that sux... sorry to hear about that, atleast you still have all your stuff, and they didn't get much.

That's part of what I'm worried about when I get my stereo in in ~ 2 weeks.. the thieves, scumbags they are.

Totally sucks. Your heart sinks down into your stomach doesn't it. A bad feeling--I know. And for sunglasses...sheesh

I know how you feel. It's happened to me twice over the years. Words couldn't describe how pissed I was at the time. On the bright side I ended up with a nicer replacement stereo both times.

The car goes into the body shop on monday. Almost the whole car will be repainted, one tail light will be replaced and the center console and door panel will be fixed.

I now have a 10lbs. sledgehammer waiting for them and I will be keeping my bedroom window wide open so I can hear the alarm next time. If they decide to come back they'll be very sorry.

Cool

add a pager to the alarm. A vibrating one from DEI. They can disable the alarm when they are in the car. When the signal is sent to the pager it keeps vibrating until you shut it down even if they disconnect the batt in the car. If you wanna catch them just use the vibrator. They wont know that you know they are in the car. No horn...
That really sucks why dont people just buy their own sh(t. Most of us work hard for what we have and pay a lot to enjoy it. Then we have to pay more for alarms and security just to keep it. I tellya.
Motion lights attatched everywhere shining on your car scares the > out of thievs too... Thieves dont like light or attention.
Later...

I was thinking of getting a DEI pager (795W). Does anyone know anything about this unit? Will it work with my python 650esp alarm? How big is the pager itself?
