Car audio nerds help me out!
Car audio nerds help me out!
Here's the situation. I just got a 2k2 Chevy Prizm as my daily beater. It's got the stock gay speakers, and stock factory cassette player.
I am going to be buying a decent cd player for like 250-300 (with a friends discount) to start off the setup. (with preouts of course)
I have 6 1/2 inch speakers all around in it. Can anyone recommend a real nice set of aftermarket speakers for my car? (dont wanna quite go to component $et, but want a real nice clear, powerful set of reg. speakers)
Also, I was looking into getting about a 200 to 250w rms 12inch sub and 5 channel amp to run the speakers cleaner and louder as well as run the 12 incher and give me a decent bump in the trunk. The big thing here is, i dont want to run seperate amps for the speakers and the sub, but i dont know how good a 5 channel amp would be quality wise.
Again, this is my daily driver, so though i could care less how it looks on the outside, i want to enjoy a clean, crisp sound from the stereo, while not taking up any more room in my trunk then i would having a 12 incher and an amp to run everything.
Im open to any opinions or suggestions, to get the best sounding system from the kind of setup i have to run. Thanks for any help!
