Is there anything better then a radar detector, i'm looking to buy one but was wondering if there is something new?

 

What exactly does it do? Can you like set it to be a certain speed limit when passing a cop car?...OR does it let you know when a cop car is near?

 

i have the radar from radoishack the best one there!! and that thing works very very good...and it can detect more things that than the passporte!!

The Valentine One is not the best one around. The Bel RX65 Pro and the Escort Passport 8500 X50 are the best detectors now.

 

Having both a Valentine One and a Passport 8500 and being able to test them both, side by side, I would say the Valentine One is better all around for this area. Other areas may differ, but in the Detroit metro area, the V1 rocks. I drive about 2,000 miles a month all around the area, not just back and forth the same route.

I would suggest trying them both and see what is better for where you live. Use the best one and sell the other.

 

What do you think would be best for "country-ish" roads? Where cops are sometimes on the side of the road, ready to clock or might be coming at you in the opposing lane.
