can you use just any bcm from a camaro or firebird as a plug and play ?

 

No, the bcm is what reads the VATS, so you need the key with the matching resistance for that bcm (I think there are 16 dif values). I think you also need one with the same accessories (power windows, locks...). I dont know if there is any changes for different years.

 

Well I have a 93 and I swapped in a 97 interior harness.but I'm going to be using an ls1 PCM and I will be deleting vats anyways
