battery sidepost adapter question

Ready for the dumb question of the day? (Tried search, didn't come up with anything helpful.) I have a sidepost adapter to hook up the power cable for my amp. How do I get the old bolt off that is connected through the battery cable and the new one in? Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: battery sidepost adapter question

Just push the stock bolt out. Make sure you test fit the sidepost adapter before you torque it down. I had one bottom out in the battery. When I torqued it down it cracked the battery casing. I didn't relalize it until a few weeks later when I noticed the connector had started to corrode real bad. I ended up having to replace the battery tray along with the battery. I had to use a bench grinder to shorten my sidepost adapter so it wouldn't bottom out in the new battery.

Re: battery sidepost adapter question

Thanks for the help guys. Got it out, got another problem. I bought two adapters, one regular and one long. Guess what. The regular is too short and the long is too long. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Why the #$@% is it so hard to hook up a power wire to my battery?!? I don't have a bench grinder (or know someone who does), so that's not an option. Anyone know of a particular adapter that actually fits on our cars? For the record, I tried Tsunami BT306 and BT306L. Again, thanks in advance for the help.
