bad amp?

Today I drove my car to the store and my radio was just fine, then 5 min later I went to leave and my subs weren't firing. I went home and checked the fuse and it was blown. I put in another fuse with the car on but radio off and it instantly blew another fuse. Could the amp have just died (it's very old about 10+ years) or is it more likely that I have a short in the wiring?

Thanks

Dan

PS this isn't a amp in my f-body but in my truck but I figured audio stuff is all the same.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. You need to check all your wiring to see if it has gotten pinched somewhere causing a short to the chassis.
