Question Alpine 9835 HU Tuning question?

Got my system installed, up & running. Sounds great.

But... Any one familiar with tuning the headunit. Everyone I know sez tune it till it sounds good to you.

A good starting point would be appreciated though.

The 500/5 JL Audio amp is tuned along w/the crossovers based on position (Focal 165K2P's front & 165V Slim's rear)

Now the Alpine.....

I have set the time correction.

But, this Equalizer Curve???? What the hell do I do? any good frequency band recommendations for Rock!! AC/DC, GNR....

I believe I have the Crossover settings OK.
2 Way Mode @
Sub (LPF)60-100Hz, 12dB slope & -6dB level
Rear (HPF)100+ Hz, 12dB slope & -6dB level
Front (HPF) 100+ Hz, 12dB slope & -6dB level

Any recommendations on teh Equalizer Curve or changing the crossover settings from a fellow Alpine guy/gal?

Thanks,

Most people find that they can hear the directionality of bass frequencies when they rise above 80Hz. That is to say you can tell which speaker the bass is coming from. To remedy this set your sub to a LPF (low pass frequency) of 80Hz and the front and rear speakers to the same HPF (high pass frequency) of 80Hz. The slopes and levels are fine.

This will allow the speakers to achieve greater amplitude by not forcing them to reproduce power consuming low bass frequencies. That is best left for your sub
