Alarm freezing (DEI)

i got an alarm that came with my camaro. its a 95 maro. the alarm is a sidewinder. when it gets below freezing in the morning and at night the alarm doesnt want to arm or disarm unless i get real close to the dash. i searched and there was 1 thread in appearence but nothing usefull. anyone know of ne thing i could do? blow the relays off with circuit cleaner? my battery is fine and new. i got 2 i checked with em. i know where the brain is and know somewhat about electrical systems so if u think i could do something let me know. thanks.

where is the antenna mounted? maybe you should try moving it? if it arms when you get close to it, i would think it has something to do with the antenna such as if its on the window and there is heavy frost infront of it or something...if the ant is built into the brain and just has a wire hanging out try repositioning it.

some DEI made alarms have an external ant, thats usually near the windshield. if there is not one there locate the alarm brain and see if it has a black wire just hanging from it, cause that would be an integrated ant, in that case you might just want to try repositioning the alarm.
