Any suggestions for the best place to get through the firewall for an amp power wire from the battery?

Yup. Just remove the panel from the passenger side and it should slip in. When you remove the passenger side panel, it should be right there. You also have to remove the pcm in the bay to get to it. Then hide it to where the amp is going. I have mine under my seat and grounded it on of the seat posts. Pretty hidden.
