94 Bose system..add an amp/sub??

My 94 has the Bose system with the rear woofer and I have an old Punch 225 and a JL 10w3 in a sealed box. I want to add these for a little more thump if its not much trouble. I dont want a new headunit or have to rewire the system. So could I just splice a line-out converter into the signal wire going to the rear Bose speaker to get the signal for the amp? Anyone do this and will that cause any unwanted noise? Any advice is appreciated.

Also, is it true that my 94 has no speakers in the rear sail panels even though there are grilles?

There should be speakers in the sail panels and yes you can splice an LOC into the speaker wires for signal. Should work just fine.

93 and some 94's have the 3 speakers BOSE setup, so not all of them have rear speakers, just front and the sub.

I would just splice a LOC into the rear signal wires, although it might not be a very "clean" signal and could burn out the AMP.
