4th gen + t-tops + dual 15"s?

I recently purchased a 2000 WS6, and I'm in the process of buying/porting over my audio system from my 1990 Firebird.

Basically I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a dual 15" box that allows the t-tops to be securely stored? I don't care how it's done, or how it looks (with the t-tops on top, or whatever,) just that it gets the job done.

ony my 1990, the t-tops fit in a special bag, which I simply relocated the strap mounts to the top of my dual 15" box... worked wonders...

I'm thinking of mimmicking the t-top insert at the bottom of the well, and some how incorporating that into at dual 15" box... maybe somewhere on the top... not exactly sure.

then I'm putting in some edi6500s up front, some eu-700s in the sails, and some CDT CL-41s in the hatch area. I plan on powering both component sets off of my autotek 4160, and the eu700s (aftermarket 6.5" subs,) off of the headunit itself, (kenwood XXV-01D.) This is possible because you can buy the Eu-700 in DVC 2+2, or DVC 4+4. Eventually, I will run the 6.5" subs off of a small, exteral amp.

I have a nINE.1 for my dual 15"s...

eh, basically just wondering if there are any plans out there for a dual 15" box, or will I have to go totally custom?

I think 15's and their enclosure would just be too big to have in an F-body and still be able to use the T-top holders. I can't imagine why you would need anything bigger than a pair of 12's in an F-body anyway. Dual 12's should be plenty LOUD in our cars.

Placing the subs on top of where the gas tank is isn't a good option in our cars. There seems to be an acoustic null there that results in poor sub-woofer performance.

well I've had these 15"s in a thirdgen f-body... with no problems... sound amazing... much better than my 12"s that I had before...

oh well, I guess there aren't any pre-made solutions for this... I guess what I'll end up doing is buying a standard dual 15" box, and just make provisions for the t-tops to sit over the subs... I did this before and it worked great...

but you're right, sub boxes on the rear hump are horrible... you lose a lot of low-end response...
