1994 Trans Am Hatch Speaker Suggestions Wanted

i have some plans for the hatch speakers after my 6x9 project went sour.

what products and sizes do you guys recommend? i would like to not have to modify the panels anymore because my old ones are destroyed to say the least.

thanks

My suggestion is to not bother with rear hatch speakers.

So you got new hatch panels and you want to put 6x9's in them? And you're dead set on the idea?

Then I would get some Genesis 6x9 subwoofers. Don't laugh at the idea of a 6x9 woofer, these actually work pretty well. You're not going to benefit from having any mids/highs coming from the rear of the hatch. At least this way you could use them as mid-bass drivers, even though they're in a less than ideal location.

i would like to find a product that might fit in the slots made for those 4.5" speakers or whatever they are.

as far as 6x9" subs go, i know that they are pretty cool. kicker even makes some in 4x10" for s10's and such. thanks for the mention though. it was actually insightful.

thanks

The best acoustics would come from buying a good set of components for the front like cdt, rainbow, kicker, diamon, Resonant engineering. Leave the hatch speakers out of the equation it will cause music counseling. I would go components in the front dedicated midbass in the back seats and two subs. I would go to a sound forum and ask questions there.
