Howdy,

I just transferred my JVC KD-SHX700 deck to my "new to me" camaro today (bought the car yesterday). Everythign swapped over from my truck...but i looked and there is an extra connector that plugs to the left half of the stock deck...i don't know wtf it is for? Im guessing i may have premium sounds with 6 speakers? Do i really need to have it hooked up since ill have my fosgates wired up tomorrow and will have real bass?

What color was the wire?

 

It was a whole connector, the coonector color itself was red and it was 1 row wide and probably 9 pins long...everything works fine i think (haven't checked the rear hatch speakers)

It's for the factory CD changer controls.

 

Car doesn't have a cd changer in it unless somebody took it out?

 

That doesn't mean that it wasn't wired for a changer. All cars get the same harness. Whether a changer gets added is up to the buyer.

 

Ok, thanks yall. I plan to wire the amps n **** tonight then since i know i don't need that stupid plugin. Just need it to stop raining, lol.
