*audio question

in the manual for my camaro it say i cant do any electrical upgrades to the car, i am wanting to put a sound system in the car but im afraid ill mess with the computer. whats the worse that can happen? or can i even put subwoofers in the car?

Not sure why the manual would say that, I have never heard of anything along those lines. I myself have a full system in my car with an aftermarket deck, speakers, and an amp and sub in the trunk and have no issues whatsoever...

Audio shouldn't effect the ECU at all.... I suppose if you really screw up the wiring you could short circuit something. But that should be a VERY RARE case, as there are fuses to keep that from happening, along with the fact that you'll make sure it's wired correctly

And make sure when ur wiring your stuff have the negative batt cable disconnected!

if your that worried about the install, go to bestbuy or your local audio shop. its not rocket science i sold it, but my first system was 100% figure it out as you go. dont tape into any wire that are already there

Ya man youll be fine manuals dont mean **** lol. I have aftermarket HU, speakers, 2 subs n an amp and my car runs solid as a rock (get it "chevy, like a rock")

What setup were you looking at buying? How much are you wanting to spend? Are you looking for heavy hard hitting bass or just moderate bass to just make music sound better?
