There are lots of better/different manufacturers. I had the chance to get 2 JL 12W3s but I decided against it since everyone and their dog has them.

But whatever floats your boat.

 

one IDMAX plus JBL1200.1 can be had online for around $600. I have a similar setup im my camaro and hit easy mid 140's. This was an iasca contest with the car sealed up. Will easily pick up 3 db with the windows down.

no way would i spend 600.....

 

I think he was referring to the amp and sub for $600.


BTW. where did you get the jbl 1200.1 for that price (200)?
was it bought new?

i got it used locally....

 

i have 2 solobaric L5 8" subs and a 400.1 kicker subwoofer amp. it sounds great and it didn't cost all that much
hits a lot harder than any one would think. every one i tell wonders y i got 8"s but i like them and they fit really well in the little space in the back of my camaro wher it dropds down. i made my box out of 1" thick mediumm density fiber board. cun neat an didn't need to sand anything . looks great sounds great and it was under $500
can't hardly beat that

 

you should get an orion h2 sub there from 200$ - 330$ not shiped you can put 1 watt to 10,000 watts on that sub if you wont but dont put 10,000 watts it will sound like crap and will blow and you ca put as many amps on it as you wont check www.ebay.com for amps and this site for the sub www.cbrstereo.com

 

Didn't read the whole thread, but is this $600 for just subs/amp? A pair of EDK's and a BP600.1 would be a hard combo to beat. That would even leave you a chunk of change for the box.
