You could have some fun with these scammers and say "After careful consideration, I have decided to sell my car to you per your instructions. However, in order to confirm your identity I need you to take some pictures of you holding a sign that says "Camaroz28.com rules!". Knowing that you are a real person will make me more comfortable with performing this transaction with you.

Thank you,
yournamehere

Then we'll all get to see funny pictures of some Nigerian guy holding a CZ28 sign

Yeah, I got it this week too (only the first part about wanting to buy). I replied that I'd only sell in person, and for cash. Never heard back - now I know why.....

Re: Car Sellers Beware, Possible Scam! Read This!!!

In order for them to get your e-mail address from your profile here is for them to create an account on the board (unless you post it).

I looked up the e-mail address in the user base and I got clement_consult9@yahoo.com which belonged to account MMMMKR and had an interesting proxy IP address, which adds up to warranting a ban.

If anyone else can post the e-mail address of the e-mails they got (if different than already mentioned), I will look into it and kill any account associated with it.

BTW, this scam is as old as the hills and make no mistake, it is 100% a scam. Don't even bother to reply, that will only give them incentive to keep doing it. Just delete the e-mail and move on.

yeah... I got hit by clement_consult9@yahoo.com as well. I fell for it a litlte while, since i had been responding to so many emails regarding my friends car, but then I paid attention to it and spoke to a friend of mine in the DA's Office. He, in short, told me to have fun with the guy, and lead him on, so I did, and everything was forwarded to my friend.... Anyways, even leading the guy on, I never recieved a check...Damn it, my screenname is POPO, is it that hard to figure out Im a cop... and yet they still do it... People are stupid... in my line of work we call that, JOB SECURITY!

I got it from a similar email..... clement_consult12@yahoo.com

I knew it was a scam. There were a couple of peple on Fbody.com that got hit with the same thing and I believe one of the magazines had an editorial about it recently.
