Zeta Aftermath....

I pulled the following from a post over at LS1GTO.com:

...as seen on a blog recently....

"Zeta Aftermath
GM announced the cancelation of Zeta in North America, but what really was affected?
I can tell you...

GMX283- 2007 Buick Roadmaster
GMX284- 2009 Chevrolet Camaro
GMX286- 2008 Buick Velite
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix
GMX-282 2008 Pontiac GTO
2009 Chevrolet Impala
2010 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Now, if you see your favorite car on there, don't get too discouraged. Strong rumors have each of these cars continuing (some still on track for the correct model year) on slightly modified platforms.

An while i'm at it, i might as well share with you some upcoming GM products that are still on course..

2006 Saab 96X
GMX440 2008(9) HUMMER H4
2007(8) HUMMER HX
2007(8) Cadillac CTS Refresh/Update
GMT966 2007 Saturn Outlook
GMX384 2007 Saturn Signal

And some tasty rumors...
2007(8) Chevrolet Nomad
GMES0421 2008 Chevrolet Meriva
2008 Cadillac XTS (otherwise known as ULS)

As for now.. thats your daily dose of insider info..."

Carry on.
I'm hoping a link to this blog gets posted.... Interesting that GMX-284 (Camaro) is listed as a 2009 model, and this was pre-Zeta cancellation.

Re: Zeta Aftermath....

Why is the Camaro so far behind everything else

I still have a hard time beleiveing the Impala will go RWD since the FWD version is doing so well.

Re: Zeta Aftermath....

Why does he list two model years for cars in the second list? Is that his guess? Does this guy have any credibility on that board?

Does anyone know anything on the GMES0421 2008 Chevrolet Meriva What is GMES?

Re: Zeta Aftermath....

Nomad looks good if it's done correctly. This could compete against the Chrysler magnum wagon.

The priority of the rest need to be reorganized. Hummer? Gimme a break. Saturn? Rebadge them and sell them as Chevs, Pontiacs and Buicks.

Re: Zeta Aftermath....

groan.......most of it is way off. Noteably the Nomad, Camaro as '09, the H4 and Grand Prix...hell Impala and Monte for that matter too.

Re: Zeta Aftermath....

I wouldnt expect both the HHR and the Nomad at the same time, seems like they'd be fighting each other for sales.

Not cryptic at all Tim.

Zeta was way behind schedule. Putting it on something new may not take too much longer.

Also, don't feel down...this could end up being an opportunity.

Look at it this way guys, you have plenty of time to do that 3 year lease before the 5th gen comes out. It's stretch, i know...

That comment, though very realistic, really struck a chord with me...

Think about it... you are talking about trading in a car that hasn't even started production yet on the new Camaro.... Ouch.
