That's a nice enough coupe.

But it doesn't knock my socks off....and it doesn't scream Camaro.

Thumbs up

I like the top pic and see some definite first gen in there, BUT I still think I'd like to see more evolution from the 4th gen. Better than a lot of the stuff we see on here though.

So those photochops were done prior to June '03, huh? Interesting. Both pics are close to what I saw at the clinic. The first pic is too squat, too long, and the roofline wasn't as round. The rear of the car was also higher (the car was more wedgelike). The second pic is real close except the overhangs were shorter, the rear overhang was significantly shorter. The rear quarter windows were also shaped differently (not so 1st genesque). The front end was not as bubbly, there were fender creases that resembled a 1st gen's, and the front end had a tapered black grille(almost CTS like).

Here is a URL to my photo briefcase that has a photochop of what I saw at the clinic. The grille isn't exaclty what I saw I couldn't quite capture the louvres. The bar was there(covered with black tape) but I chose not to put it in the photochop (GM hint hint). Enjoy.

Message to GM: Don't let that be the next Camaro!!

On the side it does look a little 68-like though I agree, but not the next Camaro. I'm hoping they turn to that survey they took about what year says Camaro to you for ideas.

The paint schemes aren't the greatest (couldn't find a normal-painted one on the site) but....

I always thought this car was really cool.

Its a good photoshop and a nice concept but I think it shows what GM wanted it to, Chevelle!

It looks more Chevelle'ish as a 2dr. Its sweet but no Camaro by any means. And amazingly that wasn't the idea driving the SS concept, so amazingly it doesn't look like a Camaro because it was never intended too.

Nice try gunioM but I don't see this concept or photoChop as being any different or better than the others posted here.

danno02SS - GONGOS Clinic

When you went to that clinic, what did they say you would be looking at? Did they give you any kind of name for the car? Also, do you recall what kind of questions they asked - I would assume if it was a clinic they would have surveyed the people there.

Use the Search function. Enter "Gongos survey" and select 5th gen forum. The whole story is there.

I'm not liking any of it, it doesn't say Camaro either. Anything that looks even a tiny bit like a 1st Gen people wanna put Camaro on it in a sec.
