Yet another Camaro concept. Attention anyone who went to any coupe styling clinic

I normally don't post Camaro ideas from others because most are hack photoshop jobs on previous Camaro pictures, or are from people who put a Camaro name on any monstrosity they come up, regardless as to how impractical, tasteless, or unimaginitive their design is.

This one is a bit different. It's another variation of the SS concept "chop jobs", but this one has has way more thought, work & development. Alot of the bodywork was toned down, and I think it actually looks decent.

I also want to get feedback from any board member here who sat in on a styling clinic some months back regarding an obviously Chevrolet coupe.

Thanks for posting that link. That is the best SS chop to a coupe I've seen.

The SS concept, even moreso as a coupe, still says "Chevelle" to me. I'd certainly get in line for it.

Yeah, in coupe form, it definitely looks more Chvellish because of the large rear size proportions. On the other hand, the lines scream '68 Camaro.

I'm starting to think that maybe the SS concept looks better as a 4-door.

Did you know that photochop is at least 3-4 months old? I believe it also predates the design clinic. Its by the same guy that won the gminsidenews 5th gen Camaro contest.

Don't get me wrong... I like it, but if you're trying to tie it specifically to the design clinic car... I think any comparisions would just be coincidental.

I don't care for the top pic, looks good from the profile, doesn't really scream Camaro.

My favorite possible 5th gen Camaro is still Muscle Tone.

Yep, I know it's an old one & possibly preceeded the clinic, but it's the 1st photoshop I've seen that is actually somewhat plausible.

I also wanted to get input & comments from someone who went to that clinic.

From side profile it looks okay (need to put some more realistic szied rims on there mind). Also, having 2 doors looks much better than the four door - it just looked too big before.... i.e. there was too much gaping space between the front and rear wheel arches.

The font is just plain crap, like the original SS concept. It looks bland and shapeless. No aggression what-so-ever, just this weird jello mold blobby shape with no contours or features that catch the eye. Plus the hideous Chevy bar! I'd like to see what that pic looks like with something more Camaro-ish for a front end clip.

Thumbs up

I like it. Its not perfect, but good enough that I'd buy it. Front end needs to look meaner. Needs to look like its pissed off. F-bodies and Vettes are supposed to look mean. I think this car would be a great starting point.

Way too plain looking and as a few have said it looks Chevelle-ish.

I like the HW muscle tone too.

i mean i guess its alright.. but it just doesn't look like a camaro to me...

I'm not to fond of this retro stuff.. except that one kids!

The old camaros look like they are layin back, the body style.. the modern ones were more leaning forward.. like they were gonna pounce almost.. thats what im lookin for..

That is the best photoshop of the SS I've seen so far.
Not my favorite design, though.

My favorite is still those 3 pics that Super Chevy had about 3 years ago (2 colors, and a B&W).

My second favorite is the line drawing we saw a few weeks ago. That one was real nice.

I like it fairly well. It doesn't make me wet myself or anything, but I still like it.
