Why I hate to love the new Mustang...
I've never revealed this before... but I'm partial to GM's vehicles... but I do like the new Mustang concept. What's a brand enthusiast to do?!?!
Hey buddy!
I just wanted to let you know I read your post.
You really don't need to do anything, IMO. You have a super-sweet ride in your driveway right now. There's oodles of guys who would shave off their left one for that T/A you've got. You have a warranty, newness, and uniqueness (especially in the color) to boot. Enjoy it for 18-24 months!
I'll admit I'm jealous, you got newer and nicer than I do...
Now when the '05s actually start hitting the road, and we can see what they've got... who knows!
Many years ago, I pledged my loyalty to domestics, even above my loyalty to Ford. If Ford killed the Stang, I'd have been in a Camaro without a second thought because I WILL HAVE MY TOY. In a few years, if your in the market for a particular type of car (ponycar for example), GM doesn't have what you are looking for, and Ford does... give it a try. Nothing says you have to keep a car forever. If you end up not liking it, trade it in on something else... people do it all the time. There are many in this forum who have tried both and found positives unique to each.
Just don't come in here saying you are thinking seriously of a Nissan... pleeeezzze!!!!
PS - I'm not thinking this thread's gonna be a big hit in this forum right now...

I also have a screw loose about not trading a car - EVER. (Drive it until its worth ZERO - then put it in the classifieds for a grand or two.
) When you order cars and negotiate hard, it isn't an experience you want to repeat every-other year.Since is a Z28 is a TOY to me, I doubt it'll wear or rust out anytime soon. I'm in a long term ownership situation, which is always way cheaper in the end. If my luck is good, I'll be shopping for my first engine rebuild long before I'd ever order a Mustang.
