SLP comes up with a $3,000 decal set...everyone is now happy.
I can honestly see this happening...if you look real close at the solstice, then look at a Green(don't know why green)1st gen vert Bird...you might see some similarities, i know i do. Pardon me for being illiterate but i don't even know how to say...Solstice
Give it 4 seats, a V8 option...and if thats not possible a Turbo 6 for the top level...it will definetly give it new direction while still mantaining the Turbo 6, for enthusiasts and people that know about the about the Birds(Trans am) history.
I still think back to the day the announcement was made that the F-body was going on "hiatus"....they didn't say the Camaro was going on hiatus and "the firebird will be retired". This is all just wishful thinking, because i myself do not want to see the camaro come back without the bird..if we can only have the camaro then i'll have to live with it.
Also, i don't know to much about the newer chassis and platforms...but what else is a unibody? besides the F car? Just asking because i know i've read that the Solstice will be a unibody...?
everytime i read something like this...something that would be kick *** for my future...i get all excited and say "yea thats gonna happen, exactly..." so sorry if i'm a little overconfident

What about the 90 fiero gtp which was sporting a trans am gta badge at an auto show in Louisville last august? Car was also shown in hot rod magazine's july story about GM's desert proving grounds. It has a 3.2L dohc v6. GM never had a production 3.2L like that back in the 90's, but the 2003 Cadillac CTS does have a 3.2L Dohc v6 with 220 hp. Very interesting

Sorry, but it seems the Bird's spot has been filled by the GTO.

I think GTO is much closer to the GTP formula than the Trans Am formula... RWD vs FWD not withstanding.
