Cool Who wants a Ford GT(40) hand-built engine?

http://www.karkraft.com/engines.htm

slap one of these in your new F-150, and you can have your new lightning, no matter what SVT thinks!!! (for only $45,000)...i'm actually surprised that these have actually been released for sale...some clown with more money than brains will probably put this in their boat, or an Aerostar van, or use it to power a generator...

I'd take the motor. Lots of cheap cars out there to put it in I dare say it would be faster than the C6.

Is it any more rediculous than the limited number 454cid ZL1 Ram Jet GM crate motors that were released a while back?

Re: Who wants a Ford GT(40) hand-built engine?

This GT engine has more exclusive parts. You cannot take a cobra engine and make it the same as the GT engine no way. Heads block lower intake are exclusive as of right now, Even the blower. If someone gets a hold of that lower intake and start making copies they will become rich in no time. There are ALOT of Mustang and Lightning guys that would love to "easily" put DOHC heads on a twin screw blown 5.4.

Talking about the ZZ10? That's only 15k. And I'd take one of those over the blown 5.4L.

45k? I was thinking more along the lines of 20k. Pricey.

Even the Cobra's blown 4.6 Dohc is damn near $12k. I knew it was expensive, but not that expensive . Pretty much doubly the cost of an Ls1 as far as msrp.

For FREE? You would still want the 454 even though it is under powered compared to the tiny 330 cu. in. FORD?

What are you talking about? The blown 5.4 makes 500hp and 500tq, the N/A ZZ10 makes 770hp and 800tq. We ARE talking about the ZL1 concept motor are we not?
