What will saturn stand for?

With the gorgous looks of sky and aura I'm thinking what will be the new meaning and tagline as apposed to People First

I'm thinking: Saturn, Beyond this World

or the New Saturn Above and Beyond

Any other ideas

Saturn is going for Pontiac territory. Sporty and powerful with more lux than Chevy.

Saturn is the new Oldsmobile.

The question though, what will replace the "old" Saturn? Probabaly lots of low end Chevys and Pontiacs.

Oh and I thought this was interesting, Gary Cowgar in LA, called Chevrolet: GM's foundation brand. I'm sure this word was carefully chosen.

Re: What will saturn stand for?

Saturn is NOT Ponatiac. Saturn will be GM's Import brand in a way. Design and features that most import companies would use. Deffinate attack on the Honda/VW crowd with these 2 cars.
I think we need to stop thinking about GM's divisions as a ladder, but that each division will go after a certain segment, each offering a car that someone wants, be it bread and butter economical cars from Chevy, or high end luxury performance from Caddy, or a little Euro-flare from Saturn

Re: What will saturn stand for?

But the question remains...where exactly does Pontiac fit into that equation?

If they intend to keep their crown as the "performance" division they need to step up to the plate with something because frankly they aren't unique.
Chevy firmly has the performance crown in their grip amongst the name plates.

Chevy has the Vette, the revived Camaro, the SS Cobalt, potentially two hot trucks with the Colorado and Silverado, a hot SUV potentially, the V8 powered Impala and Monte Carlo...

What does Pontiac or will have for performance?
The GTO,the Solstice, and I guess the Bonneville? Not the most inspiring performance line up if that's supposed to be the brand identity. I would hate to see Pontiac become the "cheap" lineup for GM.

Saturn=rebaged Opel from Europe. Hopefully.

I can see Pontaic and Saturn competeing with themselves. I still think GM needs one less division.

But here you see my problem with Pontiac being the performance name plate. That's 5 vehicles to the 8 for the Chevy side of things. It just doesn't add up and heaven forbid Chevy gets a version of the GTO(don't think it's gonna happen but just saying) that really kills any exclusiveness.

Saturn= The nice (but somewhat dorky) girl in Jr. High School you used to make fun of but grew up to become a beautiful supermodel.

Unlike a supermodel you can actually get in a Saturn
