Roush has always done engine development work for numerous companies, as well as chassis and driveline development and fabrication. It's nothing unusual to see another brand vehicle in his forray.
I would not be surprised to see him put his name on another line of vehicles, but I also would be AMAZED if he became disloyal to Ford, for the simple reason that Ford has been VERY good to him, stuck by him in thick and thin, and they have a great agreement in multiple racing venues.
So long as Roush doesn't sell-out on his end of Fords relationship, I don't think Ford really cares if he adds to his nich line of vehicles with some other domestics, nor do I.

Well if you had to race F-bodies in a jetta all day, wouldn't you be bitter.

Captured fleet cars are driven by GM employees as evaluation vehicles and to get the cars seen in driveways, media events etc.
It's a matter of making sure the cars are up to standards as they go to auction, a dealer, then a customer. .

1FAstDog is right. I posted this over on C&G when it came up. Roush is doing absolutely 0 developmental work on any performance variants of the Solstice.
They are simply retrofitting pieces that need to be done to sell the vehicles that were once used as Fleet Vehicles.
