Where can I get a 5th gen Camaro? Seriously. Since we have no clue what it looks like or how its configured, how can anyone possibly discuss what kind of modifications they could be making to them?

Well, I would be pretty surpirsed to not see a ls2 in it, given that I don't think it is unreasonable to figure out what I might be able to do to it.

What if it comes with an LS3 and A6 with paddle shifter? Are there any parts out there for the LS3 yet? Come on now, I'm guessing that very few people replying to this thread are going to actually go out and buy one new off the showroom floor.

I can't speak for other people who have posted, but I most certainly AM planning on doing just that. Maybe because I am slighty ****, maybe because I have been dreaming about doing this since I was 16 ( I am 35 now), I DO have a plan based on what I THINK will be the probable top of the line power plant.

If it is a a ls3, or ls5 or ls8 or whatever RPO code they chose, will that necesasarily change the basic plan? Maybe, it will change some part names and such, but the basic plan I have will most likely be very similar.
Paddle shift may very well be available, but I am guessing we will still have the M6 option.

Lastly, I also like to learn what other ideas people have. There are people posting here and at ls1tech that have far more experience building cars than me, never hurts to get some ideas.

I'll be putting a high performance Flux Capacitor in mine and maybe one of those steering wheels with all of the buttons like in the Mach 5.

Rear End: Either Moser 12 bolt 3.73 or if IRS new BMR stubs and axles, 3.5" chrome moly drive shaft.

Engine: SLP 402 low compression aluminum block, AFR225 heads, LT's and cat back. possibly new intake, ls6 style? After engine is done, either ATI procharger or Kenne Bell if engine fiewall alllows twin screw.

Suspension: SFR's, 1" lowering springs, Z/06 style rims.

Body: Cowl induction hood, possibly ground effects, depending on how the car looks.

I figure the mods will be done about the time the loan is paid off.
What mods do I intend?

How about a mod to actually see what the car looks like & has before I start thinking about mods 2-3 years before they're actually in showrooms.

Just feel a little cranky tonight.

Re: What mods are you currently dreaming of for your 5th Gen?

none (except for cags)

Cause I'm hoping GM will get everything right.. so I don't have to get a short throw shifter.. or nicer tires.. or bigger brakes.. or revised suspension.. or better stereo and interior..

a clean fast, relativley comfortable (I'm willing to accept some harshness and ergo's for a good handler and a more low and wide look) ride that I can daily drive and go on long roadtrips with. Might even consider a convertable this time around.

I hope to still have my 99 to be tinkering around with.

I'm still dreaming of the 5th gen to actually come out first. In all seriousness though, I would do the usual stuff, heads/cam/headers/stall.

I'd like to see it first and then buy it, then worry about mods
