Well.. I guess time will tell which one of us is right or wrong.

If we don't see any concept "Camaro" at any of the 2005 Auto Shows, then you can bet it will not come back.

GM will not simply call up one day and say, hey!! Camaro is now shipping to your dealership.

Bob Lutz was asked that very same question in an LA interview about the Camaro coming back. His responce :

"Maybe after a 30 year nap"

Like I said there WILL be a RWD performance car from Chevy based on the SS concept. Trust me.
When did GM release information about the C6 corvette? Hows about the Cobalt? When do these cars go into production? The C6 was shown about Jan.1, 04 and cobalt at the same time and both vehicles go into production this summer. Yeah that is right GM can't keep a secret. I think sometimes we know more about what is going on inside the Gov. than we do at GM.

Do yourself a favor, sit back relax read the board and then go buy "All Corvettes Are Red". ACAR will explain a lot of this to you. It is a book written about the development of the C5 corvette.

Look, I live here, I know the traffic and the roads.
I live here too, born and raised, and I've been past the RenCen on Jefferson more times than I care to count. I can't see how causing a horrific traffic jam won't generate some negative publicity....

I agree. Maybe an organized event, perhaps Woodward, would be a better time to do something like this. Jamming Jefferson Ave. on a Tuesday morning ins't very classy and could potentially end up COSTING GM a ton of money. We don't want that, do we?

Thumbs down Riiiiiiggghhhhhhhhtttttttt.......

Not to rain on anyone's parade here, BUT if we can't even get people to get off their butts t get Scott anymore than FOUR pathetic envelopes with pictures of your Camaro stuff..........and after three years, there's only about 600 or so Camaros going to Bowling Green or Superfest (only a few miles from Detroit)..........then I highly doubt that you get more than a few straglers to "clog up" Detroit's streets.....

Scott bumped his request to the top this morning.........pretty sad that we have to make him beg to have us help him to save the name of CAMARO. (yes, I sent one the 1st day he asked)

Y'all get of your @$$e$ and get those pictures in..........NOW!!

I have some stuff that I'm going to send in, but I need to take a picture. I have 2 huge Camaro posters, my shirt and hat and I'm thinkin of putting those on and the posters in front of my car and sending that in. Anything to help the cause and I'm ready to go. The Ren Cen is only a 25 min drive, I'd go there too.

I agree. Add this to the fact that Detroit roads are some of the sh*tiest pot-hole ridden roads I've ever had the displeasure of driving on. I-96 eastbound just past telegraph is seriously like taking your car off-roading. It doesn't even look like a highway much less a road anymore. It looks like a pathway of gravel and pot-holes.

Hell, I live about 12 or so miles from downtown Detroit, and I wouldn't take my car downtown for an event like that. The roads and traffic back up REAL quick, not to mention all those wretchedly confusing one-way streets that criss-cross the downtown area.

I get nervous if I'm taking my car outside of the downtown Detroit area, because some of the areas have REALLY bad crime.

If you guys must clog streets of some sort, go to Blowling Green or somewhere, NOT Detroit.

Unhappy pictures

I deffinately plan to send some stuff to show what a Camaro & Chevy nut job I am. I hope there isn't a deadline or anything! I have been working alot of hours and haven't had the time for much else but eating, sh****g, and sleeping. On top of that both of my vehicles are due for inspection and are in need of some repairs. Luckily I don't usually work weekends or I wouldn't have time for that either. I just rebuilt the front end on my truck with a PST kit, now I need an alignment, then rear brakes and I will pass. Oh by the way I passed emissions with my new LT1 swap, but I failed for the other stuff I mentioned. Then on the Camaro I need to pull the rear brakes apart and see why I have no emergency brake, and then install the SLP cat back my GF just ordered. Then that should pass, then I will have some time to put together some Camaro nut evidence. When I first saw that I thought it was a great idea, just can't believe only four people came thru. Well I will be losing my job soon, so I am taking all the O.T. they will give me right now. They are trying to build up before they close. Once I get some time (soon I'll have nothing but time) I will be sending pics and stuff. P.S. Hey GM any jobs in central N.J. for an out of work GM fanatic ?
