Just out of curiousity, when the G6 comes out, what will the Pontiac line up be from top to bottom?

I think it looks real sharp. Way better than the Malibu.

Yeah, I think it looks pretty sharp too. I wonder if that 285 horse motor has any future in the Camaro?

That would be cool. Where would that put the mid-level V8. Iam sure the top dog will have the 6liter the base Vette will have.

looks just like the concept and that is a good thing.

I wonder if the 285HP V6 will be an option on all G6s or just the GXP

I've also read a lot about the G6 getting a HF DOHC V6

Yeah me too...I get the feeling that there no plans for a HF for the G6 now though.

I thought the HF was only for Cadillac and over seas markets?

So far...as far as I know, the divisions that are getting it for sure are Caddy, Buick and Holden.

From top to bottom I think it will go something like this:

Bonneville (it's gotten a short reprieve)
GTO
Grand Prix
Solstice
G6
Sunfire (yes, the current one)

I still think they should stay with the Grand Am name. G6?!

I think the GTO will be the flagship of the Pontiac name, much like the Corvette is.

What are the current estimates for the GTO's pricing?

Go through the "build your own" part of the Bonneville SSEi and if you select every possible option, the price is right at $38k. The SE version with no options is $27k.

Pontiac's website is suggesting that the GTO's pricing will start at under $35k. Add a few options and that price will go up.

Since I'm calling the GTO "Pontiac's Corvette" let's look at the Vette Coupe's pricing. According to their site, you can get one for about $44k. Go through the "Build your own" part picking options that are likely to be available for the GTO, that price goes up to over $50k.

I agree! The Grand Am name might be old, but it is well respected.

But Lutz wants Pontiac to be his BMW and you know how they do their names
