My guess, 6.3L LSx DoD engines with 3 valve heads?

What would really blow my mind if GM manages to do all of this while keeping the C6 price compariable to the C5... which I've read that they intend to..

Imagine if GM supported all thier cars like the Corvette..

If the new Z06 manages to be in the mid 11's were the GT is at now then the GT has something to fear, but i read something interesting on Brads Mustang page.

If this is true, Chevy better pull something out there *** quick. What are 1/4 times on the current Z06

I think what GM and Bob Lutz are talking about is the current Z06 is already fast and great handling. It weighs 3115lb and puts down 405 hp. This has been good enough for some magazines like MT to get 1/4 mile times in the 12.4 range @115+

Now the rumors for the C6 Z06 say 500HP for a 3000lb car. Thus having a better power-to-weight ratio than the Viper 500hp 3350lb, and the proposed Ford GT, 500hp 3400lb.

Right now its all speculation but either way the magazines of the world are chomping at the bit to test these cars! We'll know soon enough.

I can see it now, three lane road, Viper - GT - Z06, All these big horsepower numbers, bugatti claiming 1001 HP, ever wonder how far theyll go? 5 generations away are jet powered street cars.
