Twin Turbo LS2 maybe? I can't wait until Jan. The NAIAS can't come soon enough.

Yeah, I think PacerX was referring to his company or another that might have won the bid to develop or produce this Part "Y".

I wonder if this is the Z06 or another trim level designation? Seems like room for both.

Well it could be something as small as a larger throttle body. My good friend works at Borg-Werner, and they make the OEM Viper and all V10 Dodge throttle bodies. For the Viper he was on the team that redesigned and made it larger for more air flow and better air flow for Chrylser's needs. I'm not sure who the supplier is for GM's LS1-LS6 throttle bodies but that would be a tipp off that the new engine will have variants with higher power levels.

Things like manifolds, pushrods, rocker arms, intake maifolds, cams, cranks, pistons, rods, exhaust components could all give away the fact that GM intends to have the next Z06 much more powerful than the current car.

I'm sticking with the info I have that the C6 Z06 will be 500HP, N/A.

Secret discussion between a Viper and Corvette Engineer....

"Ah, you're crazy."
"Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?!"
"It's impossible!"
"Is it? Or is it so possible that your head is spinning like a top?!"
"It can't be."
"Can it? Or is your entire world just crashing down all around you?"

LOL....couldn't resist....

Yup. Not aftermarket.

I can count on one hand the number of companies that supply aftermarket parts that could also supply OEM components.

Aftermarket parts are, in total, garbage. Even "good" companies like Holley continually screw up stuff that would have GM shooting our engineers by the bushel. We in the OEM market have to go through far more stringent testing and validation, and our stuff has to work, all of the time and every time. No excuses.

BTW... Holley sucks. I'll tell ya why sometime.

If I had to guess...

Mahle, Federal Mogul etc... + some type of FI or high rpm piston/rod system = One fast Corvette...

Company X is Pratt & Whitney, and Part Y is the F119 Turbofan from the F22.

Is it the "oh my God you guys have to be kidding me" backfire-vulnerable power valves? The "holy crap are you guys lazy" hack of a workaround for this problem (something that fits on the base plate gasket IIRC)?

Or is it how they keep buying out other companies and start replacing parts and engineers...
