What is the EN/FN? Crown Vic/Town Car?

If Ford is working on a D2C sedan, then are they just sandbagging with their front/AWD comments? I suppose that could be, but with the news from down under and now their latest public comments, it seems that any D2C sedan work is very preliminary.

Ford's front/AWD comments are coming from primarily from Paul Mascarenas. Everyone else is simply hinting that a final decision will be made this year.

I can't really blame him, because that's his department. By all accounts, there's a good case being made from a cost standpoint, but the word also is that the D2C is favored.

It really make you wonder if anyone at Ford still remembers the last Continental? The D2C based Lincoln (fill-in-the-blank) is going down the same road as the Taurus-based Continental.
