Re: V6-GT500 Mustang Shootout

You gonna get one Bob?? I see them going for MSRP on ebay, so they are out there.

I just have to figure out how to deal with my "one car payment" rule, to be able to buy one. I'm thinking I have to seriously accelerate my paying off of all debt except house and vehicle. That would more than cover another payment.

Sigh.

The Laguna Seca doesn't have rear seats or many ammenities correct? How is it heavier than the GT?

It's MIR. It's March... see everyone wearing sweatshirts? That means DA is likely 1000-2000ft BELOW sea level. Along with their awesome track prep, that car was run in the BEST conditions you could ever hope to find. That's how stock C5Z06s run high 11s around 118, and stock C6Z06s run high 10s around 128.

Wish I could, but I sorta bought a 2010 Corvette this past December. Think I'm going to stick with that a while.

Re: V6-GT500 Mustang Shootout

Well, it looks like we will probably be going for a 2013 Boss 302. The hubby is on board, and I will pay off a few things between now and then.

We need to get our house/garage project done first (will have done by early next year). I have to have a garage for the car.

We were going to get a new daily driver.................... LOL What the hell, you only live once. This will be alot more fun.

He wants white with black stripes, and I want Competition orange with black stripes. He says the white will make it less of a cop magnet. I say they will hear the car coming a mile away anyway............. so you might as well be bright !!!!

Re: V6-GT500 Mustang Shootout

If anyone around AZ is looking for a Boss, my small local dealership has an allocation for a 2012. They have not ordered it, so you can pick your own color.

MSRP............... or maybe less.

As we are good customers, we have been told less, on our 2013.

I know here in AZ, market adjustments are pretty much commonplace on these cars. Good dealerships deserve to be promoted. Heck, dealers in the Valley were putting market adjustments on Explorers and Ecoboost F150's. Jerks.

Outside of the V6, it seems that Edmunds must have been driving around with a boat anchor dragging behind the cars.

Every car magazine I've seen has much quicker times on the GT (which all seems to fall around the 4.8 range for 0-60). Shelby seems to be consistantly at or just above 4 seconds.

The latest C&D has the Boss running 0-60 in 4 seconds flat.
