lol yeah that rear deck and rear overhang is long enough were you could probably convert it to a bed without making the car much longer

Here's my humble opinion:

Challenger > Mustang > Camaro

Performance-wise, my guess is:

Camaro > Challenger > Mustang

Thumbs down

This thing was a swing and a miss, way to 70s looking. Where the Camaro comes off as a really cool modern retro/"heritage" design, and is a hit out of the park. The Challenger comes off as updated copy of the original Challenger which wasn't that great of a looking car to begin with.

I predict that the Challenger won't be around long, just like the retro Thunderbird.

If I wanted to buy a car that looks 25 years old, I would buy the real thing. I just think the styling is too extreme in the retro department.

I think it looks neat from a retro point of view, but after seeing the non-camo Camaro photos, it really seems like a step back. I think GM has a winner on their hands--the Camaro convertible just stepped to the front of the line on my list of new daily drivers.

I think it looks like a dog next to the Camaro and Mustang. Or practically any other coupe out there.

as opposed to the slim and areodynamic Camaro??

I think this looks better proportioned--the bigger size lends itself to they chunky look better the the Camaro.

However--the Camaro convertible--looks the BEST

Mustang? Its last on the list for me. Dated and CHEAP.

Looks like I better buimp up the power on the Formula to beat a new V8 Camaro

I think Chrysler did just as good of a job translating the Challenger from concept to reality as GM did with the Camaro.

No better, no worse.

You can see in those comparision pictures, that the production car will have much more slab-sided pannels compared to the multifacited fenders and doors of the Camaro.
The Camaro looks much more agressive, and visually looks about 1/2 the size of Challenger. The long trunk along with long long nose gives the car a very lonnnng look. Those numbers look like a 4th gen with a large wheel base. They got the grill down, and they got the rear lights down. Both Camaro and Challenger blow the doors clear off the ugly and boring looking Mustang.

You know, in my mind, I was giving the vintage Challenger a shorter deck than it actually has.

It actually does have quite a bit of overhang.

I definitely like the taillight treatment of the production over the concept.

^^ To me, that profile pic really illustrates how porky looking the new car looks, with the current fad of a squashed greenhouse / high sill. You know, that design choice that makes it impossible for us tall folk to look out the window, and makes you look absurd when trying to rest your elbow on the windowsill with the windows rolled down ('cause your elbow ends up next to your ear...).
