Top Gear tests C6
Re: Top Gear tests C6
This is just a typical Top Gear evaluation of an American car.
I could handle everything, except the the "leaf spring" comments.....they especially annoyed me. They must have missed the "pushrods" in the LS2.
I wonder how Corvette would have done in that 4-way drag race...if it weren't the only one doing a burnout at launch?

Anyway, the C6 is a fine machine, it's just that Top Gear's standards are just way too high

Re: Top Gear tests C6
It's possible, but I doubt it. I think his standards are just so high that it takes a lot to impress him. Heck, if I got to drive Porches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc...all the time, I'd probably think the C6 base model was crap too. Just be a duck and let it roll off your back.

Re: Top Gear tests C6
Just FYI, this Top Gear fella is an ex-F1 driver. And he went stone cold to Italy and proceeded to post the best lap ever by any journalist in the Enzo. It was only a few seconds short of the Ferrari test driver who rags out all the Ferraris all day long on their track.
So he's a flake, but he's the Evan Smith of Euro car journalists.
Whoops just watched it and there's some young wimp doing the actual test

The bio I have on him says:
Jeremy Clarkson first presented BBC’s Top Gear in 1989, and after a break of almost four years is back on the programme this year with his well known, forthright opinions.
Jeremy trained as a journalist on the Rotherham Advertiser. He developed a liking for cars in 1977 when he passed his driving test at the wheel of his grandfather’s ‘R’ Type Bentley. After his reporter training, Jeremy decided to combine his writing skills with his interest in cars and formed the Motoring Press Agency in 1984.
