If we any hope of geting a car by '08, then they'd sure better be beyond this point!

I'm sure that the "medium" RWD Kappa based "Torana" will be out befoe '08.

Re: T-Tops, Targa, or none on the chevy performance coupe

kinda off topic but...

Red said in another thread something about the kappa front supension would be VERY interesting...

Red also said that the current GTO got ruled out cause it just wasnt a Camaro...

so, if those two statements are accurate..then perhaps we are not going to get a GTO zeta (aka Chevy Mustang) but something like a hybrid...

I wonder if we get a widened kappa front on a zeta mid-back.

How about wow the world with an affordable slick hardtop convertable, for the masses?

I know, I'm dreaming.. But with GM's huge size and resources, you think maybe, they could possibly make this a reality...

T-tops fit Camaros as the Targa roof fits the Vette. My old Sunfire had a sunroof and compared to T-tops, I'll probably never own another car with a sunroof. Sunroofs are BORING and allow no air in the car and dont really give any sort of open air feeling. T-tops are nice because whether they're on or off, the car still looks sleek and cool. Some convertables look good with the roof down and like a$$ with the soft top up.

It seems that the 5th gen's structure isnt going to allow for T-tops so I'll keep my extra 600 some odd dollars and buy a hardtop. At least open-air feeling will be traded in for extra stiffness for handling performance.

G6 will offer a hard top vert for cheap...well cheaper then most other hard top verts on the market now.
And I belive that the SSR is the cheapest hard top vert out there?

I will be going on my 4th Fbody and I cant ever seem to get into TTops. The '90 bird was hardtop, 94 1LE obviously is, and then my 98 is too. If I buy a 5th gen, it should be the daily driver and have ttops or targa...that would be awesome. Convertibles are heavy and dont look as good; sunroofs are a waste of material, even hardtop is better than a sunroof.
