On the subject of RWD coupes....2008 Tuscani.
I was searching for something and came across this post. He claims to work for Hyundai.
I am associate at hyundai motors.
2007 Tiburon- Same GK Line few minor changes
2008- Tiburon name will be dropped, Tuscani name will now take tiburon/coupe place. Will be based on few features* of HCD-8 concept just like every pre-production model. Sorry Can't comment on engine specs only that it will be v6. Interior features are very nice, but I can't comment on them as well. They also have a few features from the HCD-8 concept. Thanks sorry questions will not be answered. Just for future- The 2008 tiburon production model exterior features both the HCD-8 and GK line has a very exotic look.

Engine will most likely be the 263hp/255lb-ft 3.8L v6 currently in use in the new Azera. Decent power. Should at the least be a low 14sec vehicle.
Hyundai is getting aggressive overall. The new sonata/azera has been recieving praises and the new v6's are said to be pretty good. They are already on their way to changing their whole image. I don't think a v8 engine is that far away. Sounds like they aren't afraid of new markets/segments.

Well, that is good that they won't have a V8, at least not for awhile. I think the styling is going to make or break that car. If it is anything less than stunning, I think it might get it's lunch eaten by the Camaro and Mustang V6. Let's just hope that Chevy puts in the 3.9 or 3.6(doubtful) with power in the 260 hp range, or more.

More competition the better IMO. Keep the Camaro team on its toes.
On the subject of Hyundai, what they've done is pretty impressive. They were considered crap 10 years ago and now look at their products. Their entry level stuff is still iffy, but beyond that, the Sonata and Azera certainly arent the Hyundais of years past.

V6 Camaro is going to be a very important product to do right. No more hub caps or steel turn down single exhust pipes.
17"s should be standard and the V6 needs to be competative with other V6 cars in the sub $25K range like the Honda Accord, Mitsu Eclipes, and this new tiberon
a 3v or direct injection 3.9L high value would be nice.

I wonder what the pricing will be? Certainly not the same as the current car...or will it?
$16-$20K for a sporty, RWD, 260+ hp car.

Let's hope not.
I think that is a stretch, even for Hyundai.

I agree, a new Camaro V6 will have to be competitive in a different market than the V8 models. Plastic hub caps don't belong on a Camaro period, IMO.

Pretty impressive I have to say.

Balk at this if you will, but I've seen more than my far share of camaro enthusiasts BS themselves when it came time to replacement tires, #1 answer "Hey I dont go that fast, why do I need a tire like that." simply due to the cost of a 245/50R16, the granddaddy of performance tires (another one that covered a large segement, just like the 245/45R17 and 275/40R17)
As for plastic hubcaps and steel wheels. Heh, the 05 mustang came to market with a 16" and 17" aluminum wheel only as I recall, in 06 there is a habcap-steelwheel option!
IMO, if they do hubcaps on the 5th gen, the wheel should be an aluminum one like they used to use on old cadillacs and mercedes. It was a very light combo, not so much for handling I think, but rather ride comfort due to the unsprung weight of the wheel.
As for the Tiberon, to bad they didn't bring it to market with a V8, would have been very interesting (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and Tiberon). maybe the torque wizards at Honda will bring a V8 coupe to market <--insert smilie ROFL-->
