Personally, other than the tail lights, I hope the SS shares nothing with Camaro.

if you watch the video on the GM site, it says it has some styling cues from the Camaro, but it was never refered to as a camaro

Strangely this shares the basic shape of the Ashton that z284ever posted a few weeks ago in refrence to a Camaro.

IMO, everything in this thread is crap. Nothing says Camaro to me, but then again, I'm hoping for a completely progressive design.

On the other hand, if they WERE to go retro, Ive always liked these MT renderings.

Here's a few more designs that I like:

Agreed about the tailights, but I always kind of liked the rear fenders too.

If I had to go with retro, I think the top one is pretty good. I like the bottom one alot though, although the back sort of looks like a Mercedes. Mix some of the back that Chewbacca linked to and I think it would look great.

I agree completely and I think the front of your's is by far the best in this thread. The others all look pretty soft to me as well. The new Camaro has to look as awesome as it's performance will be

Sorry, for bringing back a sort of dead thread, but I was away for a week and have some catching up to do

I like this, although the rear is I think too aggressive.. Reminds me way too much of the old Corvettes
The front-end is a classic rip-off, I love the bar going across the center, but the turn signal lights don't fit.
Not to mention, I don't think this would work that well because, it has no side-marker lights or anything.. And that would really ruin this design, I think.

Vette front end with a viper rear-end. Looks hot, definitely not original at all, though. Messy interior.

Way too damn boxy. Like everyone else as said, direct rip-off of the 300/Charger/whatever

http://www.helixstudio.com/ssmd/cama...o_ss_rev1.jpeg
This is the most realistic version I see. Some stuff is bad, such as the side mirrors.. The flare on the front wheels is way too damn big. It makes it look like the front end overhangs the wheel.
Most of these concepts use the '70's spoiler look, where it's molded. No real preference on that. Looks good, but leaves no real room for aftermarket improvements. The front end screams CHEVY! and it's damn good. However, it's too similar to the other Chevys, i think. Definitely needs a lot more uniqueness thrown at it. The sides of this car are a little bland, and I definitely do not like the rear passenger window look. Also having the hood not extend to the end of the car (it has a border around it) doesn't work so well and ruins the lines, I think.
I speak more of this concept because I like it so much

Ew, Buick. Nice hood, the window slope seems alright. Everything else is just OLD.

Looks too much like a Ford.. It really reminds me of the mustang in so many aspects, namely the hood for some reason. Would have loved it back in the day, but definitely not now.

Your front is aggressive, but nothing about it says Camaro. Hell, nothing about the whole car says Camaro except the hood louvers..
