I couldn't agree more. That development money could have been used for much better projects IMO.

Unfortunately, the Prowler set the precedent for this one. I know Prowlers were going for big markups when they came out, $60k+ even, and that car did nothing more than cruise around and go to car shows as well. I guess GM figures they can name their price on the SSR and do the same thing. They'd probably be happy with a nice 4-5 year run. It's not for me at $35k or even $25k (though I don't think it looks that bad), so it's a non-issue. I guess it'll be up to the aftermarket to make it go fast too, like the Prowler.

 

I would not buy it. Maybe for half that price, maybe.

 

One thing I find better about the SSR than the prowler is that since it uses a Gen III V8, swaps with other Gen III V8's will be easy. ie Lingerfelter 525HP 7.0L LS1 SSR

still price out of my range but should make for some interesting article in the auto mags

 

Way way way too expensive...knock off 21,000 and then I m might consider it.

 

Someone needs to make a smiley trying to put it's own head up it's ***, that would fit this price perfect.
